- What's being discussed in this article? This article is discussing how China's one child-policy was unfair and unjust. It was talking about a man in Beijing who refused to get his second child aborted. He then was fired from his job because of that. This was just an example of one person the article states that this is not a rare occurrence. But people are starting to get fed up with this law and also they are finding out that the fertility rate is actually two and their population growth rate is getting two low now and that this is becoming a serious problem. The Chinese government is considering raising the one child per family to two.
- When did the event happen? (Is this breaking news or something that's been analyzed and discussed for a while?) The Chinese government reconsidering the law is breaking news and the new statistics are breaking news the example used in the article was from august 19th 2010 but that similar event has been going on for years and it is actually not that uncommon. It sounds like it has been discussed for quite some time now.
- What questions do you have that would help make this article make more sense to you? What more do you need to learn about to be able to report on this event? What was the past birth rate. And just how over populated they actually were. How long this law has been active in China.
